Orioles Suffer 7-4 Setback
|
New York picked up a win at Citi Field, toppling the Baltimore Orioles, 7-4. Pitcher Luis Torres was one of the reasons the Mets triumphed. The Mets sport a record of 56-92.
Curt Tolley, who is tied for 9th in the NL in home runs with 35, chipped in for New York with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"It was a solid team effort," Torres said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
