Texas Rangers starter Pat Yarnall was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the St. Louis Cardinals, 5-2. The win elevated the Rangers to 76-72.

The Rangers benefited from an error in the top of the fifth inning. Texas was leading 2-0 when Scott Pabian hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Texas in front, 4-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Pabian said after the game.
