In a tight contest between the Houston Astros and the Las Vegas Hustle, Xavier Walls was the determining factor. The Houston right-hander sparkled in his team's 1-0 win. Today's win puts Houston at 69-80, while Las Vegas falls to 81-68.

Travis Gibb came through with a big-time hit for Houston. The right fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We didn't score," said losing manager Larry Robinson. "That was the problem."
