White Sox Lose, 6-3, as Reds Rally
|
The Cincinnati Reds topped the Chicago White Sox, 6-3, in National League action at Great American Ball Park. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati pitcher and Montclair, Virginia, native Bryan Brown. The win went to Mark Langseth in relief, making him now 10-3. Jayson Redd took the loss for Chicago. Cincinnati is now 86-64.
Brooklyn, New York-born Michael Morrison came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Reds trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Cincinnati on top.
Cincinnati manager BJ Gorman commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
