Orioles Beat Visiting Blue Jays, 7-3
|
Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
The Baltimore Orioles knocked off the Toronto Blue Jays, 7-3, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Tyler Cone was a big reason Baltimore won. The catcher went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jose Savala, credited with the win in relief, is now 12-9. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings.
With Baltimore leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Cone hit a sinker from Pedro Sandoval for a 2-run double. It was his 23rd double of the season and put the Orioles ahead, 3-0.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Cone.
At 83-69, the Orioles claim second place in the American League East Division.
