It was pandemonium at Minute Maid Park after an exciting walk-off win.

The Houston Astros downed the Texas Rangers, 11-9, at Minute Maid Park. Johnny Johnson led the way, going 2-for-4 for Houston. Chris Sanchez was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-3. The losing pitcher was Mike Poole.

Houston got a clutch hit from Edwin Oliva. The pinch hitter launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

Oliva described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.

Houston, at 86-65, is 2½ games up in the American League West Division.
