Brad Jorgensen, who finished 2nd in the NL in ERA with 2.44 in 2105, pitched well, but the Las Vegas Hustle still fell short, losing, 4-1, to the San Diego Padres at The Pound at Seaport Village. San Diego reliever Josh Lipton got the win, raising his record to 5-4. Brad Jorgensen was tagged with the loss. Las Vegas has now lost 4 consecutive games.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when right fielder Brian Patrick, who is tied for 7th in the NL in runs scored with 100, hit a single. The Padres went on to win.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Las Vegas skipper Larry Robinson, "and it cost us."
