Multi-HR Day for Bushbaum as Giants Overpower Diamondbacks, 8-2
|
The San Francisco Giants downed the Arizona Diamondbacks, 8-2, at Chase Field. Alex Bushbaum led the way, going 2-for-5 for San Francisco. Dan Roberts earned the win to go to 8-14. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. San Francisco is in 4th place in the National League West Division with a record of 66-86.
With San Francisco trailing 2-1 in the top of the third, Bushbaum hit a fastball from Bubba Schmitz for a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 4-2.
"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Bushbaum told the San Francisco Citizen. "And padding the San Francisco win column."
