White Sox Prevail, 4-3, Over Minnesota
|
The Chicago White Sox withstood a fine game by Minnesota right fielder Jesse Fales at Target Field, to upend the Twins, 4-3. Fales was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mark Carnathan collected his 10th save. The 'W' lifts Chicago's record to 87-65.
Chicago used a well-timed hit by Bill Owry to capture the win. The third baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Owry said. "And the same is true when you lose."
