Angels Beat Athletics, 5-4
|
The Los Angeles Angels picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, knocking off the Oakland Athletics, 5-4. Starting pitcher Chris Kirby was a big reason why. Vic Correa got the save, the 18th for him this season. The Angels now have a record of 50-102.
The Angels benefited from an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. Los Angeles was leading 4-1 when Bill Dubin hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Los Angeles in front, 5-1.
"Chris made his pitches," said Los Angeles manager Matt Moore.
