Cincinnati catcher Chad Crane had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the St. Louis Cardinals, 8-3. Today's win puts Cincinnati at 93-61, while St. Louis falls to 83-71.

Paul Epperly went 1 for 3 for Cincinnati. The 24-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Chad Blechle. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager Leyland Thomas.
