Freeman Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cardinals
Busch Stadium played host to some high drama.

The St. Louis Cardinals besoiled an otherwise fine performance by San Francisco center fielder Eric Mathews by beating the Giants, 6-4, at Busch Stadium. Mathews went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jonathan Reddington, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings.

St. Louis got a knockout punch from Stuart Freeman. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Freeman told the St. Louis Daily News.

The loss makes San Francisco 70-84.
