Baltimore Hands Boston 5-3 Defeat
|
Behind the hitting of John Healey, the Baltimore Orioles stopped the Boston Red Sox, 5-3. Healey went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Orioles. Baltimore has now won 5 games in a row.
Baltimore took a 5-1 lead on Healey's 28th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off John Baines in the top of the eighth, propelled Baltimore to the win.
"It's not about individual awards," Healey told a Baltimore Bulletin reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
