Young Heroics Not Enough in 12-11 Loss to Houston
The Houston Astros overcame a fine performance by Washington left fielder Jon Young to defeat the Nationals, 12-11, at Minute Maid Park. Young was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Emanuel Calleya snagged the win in relief. In 1.1 innings, the right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits. He's now 8-4 on the season. Guillermo Padron earned his 37th save in 43 chances.

Had Jeff Cinnamon not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Cinnamon hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 11-10, in favor of the Astros.

"What a game," said Cinnamon. "We needed every last run."

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Astros.
