Rangers Topple Braves with Late Rally
The Texas Rangers withstood an impressive performance by Atlanta designated hitter Ramon Carrion to defeat the Braves, 4-3, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Carrion went 2-2 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win lifted the Texas record to 81-74.

Had Luis Chavez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Chavez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Rangers.

"We put together a nice win," Chavez said.
