Win Makes San Francisco 78-77
|
The San Francisco Giants grabbed a win, 5-2, over the Minnesota Twins at AT&T Park. San Francisco shortstop Matt Roberts was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. San Francisco reliever Troy Anderson was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Curt McMahon. Jim Doll earned his 39th save in 44 tries.
Brad Reichle had a big run-scoring double for the Giants in the bottom of the second inning. It was his 26th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Giants ahead, 2-0.
