A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Bernie Sanchez, who is tied for 6th in the NL in RBI with 103, led the Milwaukee Brewers to a win over the San Diego Padres, 7-5. Picking up the save was Dan Buskey. He's now 3 for 6 in save chances. The Brewers improved their record to 60-96 by beating San Diego.

Milwaukee second baseman Fred Martin contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 61st hit of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 7-4.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Martin said.
