Rockies Deal Rays 7-4 Loss
|
Colorado second baseman Hugo Sanchez was a significant contributor in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Tampa Bay Rays. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Colorado. The save was credited to Ricky Aguilera, his 4th. Tampa Bay is in the throes of a 9-game skid.
Colorado relied on the hitting of Glenn Sewell to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rockies on top, 5-1. For the game, Sewell had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We feel like we're going to win every game right now," said Colorado skipper Trevor Taka.
