Astros Absorb 2-0 Home Loss
|
The Seattle Mariners went home winners at Minute Maid Park, thanks in large part to starter Juan Melendez. Melendez stifled the Houston Astros, enabling Seattle to grab the 2-0 win. The win gives the Mariners a record of 53-105.
Victor Palacios had a direct impact on the outcome. Palacios contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Seattle up, 2-0.
"We did just enough to win," Palacios said.
