Boston Loses, 9-8, Despite Goudy Performance
Boston first baseman Cameron Goudy was sensational. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Cleveland beat the Red Sox, 9-8. Cleveland, now 65-94, has won 10 straight games.

Cleveland needed the clutch hitting of Ken Halford to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Guardians on top, 8-6. For the game, Halford had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Halford.
