Orioles Suffer 3-1 Loss to New York
|
The New York Yankees picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, courtesy of Pablo Castaneda. The right-hander helped his team stop the Baltimore Orioles, 3-1. The winner was Castaneda. He threw 8.0 innings of 1-hit ball. The loser was Marco Duran. Justin Pigott was credited with the save, his 24th in 29 tries.
Making an impact for New York was center fielder Chris Kemper. Naughty Panther drilled a run-scoring triple off Marco Duran in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Kemper went 1-3 with a triple and a walk.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Baltimore manager Art Matlock.
The Yankees sport a record of 43-116.
