Brewers Fall Short, 4-3, at Toronto
|
Toronto picked up a win at Rogers Centre, bumping off the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3. Pitcher Curtis Moore was a major reason the Blue Jays emerged victorious. In 8 innings, Moore surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Blake Dickerson locked down his 3rd save.
The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from center fielder Danny Daugherty. For the game, Daugherty went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Toronto a 3-1 lead.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Daugherty.
Toronto has an impressive 107-52 record.
