Good production from first baseman Francisco Galdamez helped the Atlanta Braves topple the Chicago Cubs, 5-4. Galdamez was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Braves. Victor Barrera, credited with the save, is now 6 for 7 in save opportunities. The Braves go to 65-95 with the win.

With Atlanta leading 3-2 in the bottom of the second, Galdamez hit a splitter from Sean Price for a 2-run home run. It was his 34th home run of the season and put the Braves ahead, 5-2.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Galdamez told the Atlanta Today.
