St. Louis Cardinals starter Chris Fama pitched well against the Kansas City Royals at Busch Stadium, leading his team to a win, 3-2. With the win, the Cardinals sit at 88-72.
St. Louis got a knockout punch from Jay Gunter. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
