The Chicago Cubs got a rain-soaked win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Chicago Cubs starter Ron Payne was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-3. Ryan Ahlstrom closed it out for his 8th save.

The Cubs got a big hit from right fielder Kevin Luzzo. In the bottom of the fifth, Luzzo pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 35th home run of the season put the Cubs ahead, 5-2.

Luzzo said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
