Mariners Rack Up 7-5 Win Versus Kansas City
|
Fernando Andino had a good game, but he could not keep the Kansas City Royals from falling, 7-5, to the Seattle Mariners at Kauffman Stadium. The Kansas City second baseman was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs in the loss. The win belonged to Mike Nance in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Antonio Aguilar took the loss for Kansas City. Picking up the save was Yvain Natta. He's now 29 for 31 in save chances.
Bryan Abramson, who is on pace for 68 RBI this season, helped out the Seattle cause in the top of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the second baseman was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Feels good to get the job done," Abramson said after the game.
Seattle now sits at 75-87, while Kansas City falls to 91-71.
