Dodgers Subdue San Francisco, 2-1

Fans watched the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants fight to the finish.
The San Francisco Giants were defeated, 2-1, by the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Park, even though Justin Gage pitched well for San Francisco. Los Angeles reliever James Murano picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Justin Gage absorbed the loss. John Souza closed it out for Los Angeles, earning his 39th save.
Ivan Jimenez, who finished 3rd in the NL in triples with 9 last year, came through for Los Angeles with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. The second baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 1 RBI.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said San Francisco manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
Los Angeles is now 81-81, San Francisco 60-102.
