Braves Zap Tides, 7-4
Gwinnett third baseman Jonathan Allen contributed to his team's 7-4 win over the Norfolk Tides. Allen, who is tied for 4th in the IL in stolen bases with 7, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Braves. Josh Fenelon was credited with the save for Gwinnett, his 2nd of the season. The Braves now own a record of 16-13.

The Tides had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Braves going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old shortstop Eduardo Pabon came to the plate. Pabon hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch fastball from Norfolk hurler Eric Dick. It was Pabon's 1st home run of the year.

Postgame, Braves manager Stephen Swagerty praised Allen. "Having Whiskey in the lineup makes us a better team."
