Biscuits Get Clutch Win, 5-4
Crowds lined up early in front of Hank Aaron Stadium, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2111 Southern League season. On the mound was Jake Alvarado for the visiting Montgomery Biscuits and Adan Silva for the hometown Mobile BayBears. In a spirited contest, the Biscuits pulled out the win, defeating the BayBears by the score of 5-4. Especially impressive was Tony Parrish.

It could have been a different outcome for Montgomery, had it not been for Danny Diaz, the 24-year old first baseman . Diaz contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Montgomery up, 5-4.

"Feels good to get the job done," Diaz said after the game.
