Generals Reel-In 8-6 Win Over Biscuits
The Jackson Generals withstood a fine game by Montgomery second baseman Nate Harvell at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, to upend the Biscuits, 8-6. Harvell was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. Jim Unknown snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Kyle Currence suffered the loss. Jim Unknown closed the game out for Jackson, earning his 1st save.

Steve Kovac had a big 3-run home run for the Generals in the top of the first inning. With Jackson leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Kyle Currence and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Generals on top, 6-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kovac told the Jackson Citizen.

Jackson is now 4-2.
