Biloxi pitcher Bill Griffith did his part in helping his team defeat the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Griffith picked up the win for Biloxi, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Biloxi goes to 4-3.

Frank Quinones had a big 2-run home run for the Shuckers in the bottom of the first inning. With Biloxi leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Andy Bertrand and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shuckers ahead, 3-0.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Shuckers manager Carlos Estrada.
