The Biloxi Shuckers picked up a win at MGM Park, topping the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 3-2. On the mound for Biloxi was left-hander Bobby Olivares. He played a principal role in the triumph. Biloxi goes to 6-4.
Had Jon Prieto not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Prieto hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Shuckers.
"Bobby was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Biloxi manager Carlos Estrada.
