The Birmingham Barons beat the Biloxi Shuckers, 6-4, at Regions Field. The Barons got a fine performance from left fielder Joel Bailey, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. Josh Ambro, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. Birmingham, now 14-8, has played well in the early going.

Justin McWilliams was the walk-off hero for Birmingham. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Barons designated hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
