Mariners Win at Milwaukee, 7-4
The 2107 season did not get off to quite the start the Milwaukee Brewers had hoped, with an opening day loss to the Seattle Mariners at Miller Park. The final score was 7-4. Third Baseman Shane Light was the top performer for Seattle. Ken Iddiols, who finished 3rd in the AL in innings pitched with 230.2 in 2100, was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was Greg Earle.

Seattle used a clutch at-bat from Brandon Bales to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mariners ahead, 6-4. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Light said after the game.
