Chattanooga Bats Silenced by Ortega
The Biloxi Shuckers shut out the Chattanooga Lookouts, 7-0, behind the strong pitching of Armando Ortega. Ortega surrendered only 5 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 8.

Following the last out, Ortega appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Chattanooga manager Nick Allison, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken left-hander as the clubs left the field. Ortega's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The Lookouts skipper would not comment on the exchange but, at the Shuckers press conference, Ortega confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Ortega said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Biloxi manager Ethan Isler added.

To this point in the season, Ortega shows a 1-3 record, 5 starts, 33.1 innings, 30 strikeouts and a 5.94 ERA.
