Suns Stick Braves with 3-2 Loss
The bats were silent much of the day at Trustmark Park. But 22-year old center fielder Willie Mulato produced just enough offense to carry the Suns past the Mississippi Braves, 3-2. Mulato went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Justin Stockton. He tossed 104 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 10 hits. The win gives Jacksonville a season record of 15-14.

Mulato had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-1 cutter from John Levy, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Suns a 2-1 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Mulato.

Mulato told the Jacksonville Bulletin: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
