Palomino Excels in 7-2 Pensacola Win
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos topped the Jacksonville Suns, 7-2, at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Pensacola left fielder Javier Palomino was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Chris Peterson got the win, improving to 1-4. He held the Suns to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Picking up the save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Mitch Jarrett.

The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Palomino hit a 3-run home run off Pedro Ramos. It propelled the Blue Wahoos into the lead, 3-0.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Pensacola manager Evan Salinas.

The victory puts Pensacola at 13-20.
