The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts, 7-4. Doing his part was center fielder Tommy Starnes, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Montgomery is now 20-13, 2½ games up in the South Division.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ray Pace? The Montgomery second baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Biscuits on top, 2-1. For the game, Pace had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
