Matt Flagg did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Montgomery Biscuits from losing, 5-4, to the Mississippi Braves at Trustmark Park. Flagg went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Scott Conn, 1-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. Kevin Carlton picked up the save, his 8th.
Alex Quinones aided the Mississippi cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk.
Quinones told a Mississippi Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Braves saw their record improve to 19-19.
