Jason Pierce, who is tied for 9th in the SL in wins with 4, had a strong outing for the Montgomery Biscuits against the Biloxi Shuckers at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. Ken Brusky notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 2-3. Montgomery took a 2-1 lead on Tommy Starnes's 3rd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Starnes hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Biloxi pitcher Josh Bossow visibly frustrated.
