Big Day for Shelton in 7-2 BayBears Win
The Mobile BayBears topped the Mississippi Braves, 7-2, at Hank Aaron Stadium. Mobile catcher Jim Shelton was a spark plug for the offense. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Mobile goes to 25-23, Mississippi to 23-25.

With Mobile leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Shelton came up to bat against Mississippi pitcher Matt Rauscher. Shelton hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the BayBears on top, 5-1.

Said Mississippi manager Scott Oaks: "They did a lot of things right. We did a lot of things wrong."
