Getting offensive support from Tony Leandro, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos topped the Tennessee Smokies, 11-3. Leandro went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs for the Blue Wahoos. Matt Bundy picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 4-3. R.J. Thompson Jr. got the save, the 1st for him this season.

The Smokies had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Blue Wahoos going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old first baseman Mike Arnold came to the plate. Arnold hit a run-scoring triple on a first pitch fastball from Tennessee hurler Jim Unknown. It was Arnold's 4th triple of the year.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Nick Miner, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."

Pensacola is third in the North Division with a record of 29-20.
