Montgomery Biscuits starter Nick Bell turned in a top-notch performance against the Jacksonville Suns at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The result was a win for the Biscuits, 3-2. Montgomery reliever Nick Bell was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-0. Alfonso Delgado took the loss for Jacksonville. Montgomery raised its record to 31-21 with the win.

Montgomery needed the clutch hitting of Alex Santiago to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Biscuits on top, 3-2. For the game, Santiago had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Nick did a heck of a job," said Montgomery manager George Woolbright.
