Braves Take Down Shuckers, 4-1
The Mississippi Braves beat the Biloxi Shuckers, 4-1, at Trustmark Park. Starting pitcher Melvin Delgado was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Mississippi reliever Melvin Delgado got the win, raising his record to 4-4. Israel Sanchez was tagged with the loss. At 35-24, the Braves are currently first in the South Division.

Jon Bushby had a big run-scoring double for the Braves in the bottom of the second inning. With Mississippi leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Israel Sanchez, who is tied for 4th in the SL in complete games with 2, and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Braves ahead, 2-0.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Bushby.
