Moore goes 4-for-4 to Power BayBears Offense
|
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Hank Aaron Stadium.
The Mobile BayBears topped the Tennessee Smokies by a score of 5-0. Leading the way was right fielder Steve Moore. Moore went 4-4 with 4 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the BayBears. With the win, Mobile upped its record to 33-26.
With Mobile leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Moore hit a 2-run single off Tennessee hurler Justin Sorensen. It was the 52nd hit of the season for Moore and put his team ahead, 3-0.
Said losing manager Steve Schwab: "I think Susan Sarandon said it, 'Hit it where they ain't.' We didn't do a very good job of that tonight."
