Valdez Squelches Tennessee Offense
In a low-scoring contest, Biloxi pitcher Jesus Valdez was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 1-0 win. Getting the save was Yukinobu Kanno, his 11th. Biloxi is third in the North Division with a record of 29-31.

Valdez, who was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, threw 104 pitches over 7.2 innings, while allowing no runs.

"Jesus set the tone with an amazing pitching performance," said Biloxi manager Garrett Davis.
