The Birmingham Barons routed the Montgomery Biscuits, 14-3, at Regions Field. John Clements, who is tied for 3rd in the SL with a .361 batting average, was one of the hitting stars. He went 4-6 with a triple and 3 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6 for Birmingham. With the win, Birmingham raised its record to 32-29.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Barons center fielder Andres Rojas hit a fastball from Kyle Currence for a 2-run single. Just like that, Birmingham was up, 4-3.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Birmingham manager John Ware.
