Shuckers Beat BayBears, 3-2, at Hank Aaron Stadium
In a low-scoring tilt between the Biloxi Shuckers and the Mobile BayBears, 33-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Ambro was the difference-maker. The Biloxi right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Ambro got the win, improving to 1-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 8.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Biloxi is now 34-28.

Dennis Schickel had a big solo home run for the Shuckers in the top of the sixth inning. With Biloxi leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Luis Figueroa, who is tied for 6th in the SL with a 1.21 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Shuckers on top, 3-0.

"The fact of the matter is that we had a shot to win," said losing manager Corey Olsen.
