Blue Wahoos Beat Visiting Generals, 8-3
|
Pensacola picked up a win at Five County Stadium, bumping off the Jackson Generals, 8-3. Pitcher Aaron Humphrey was a major reason the Blue Wahoos emerged victorious. Humphrey picked up the win for Pensacola, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. Pensacola has an impressive 42-21 record.
Geer Bosman had a big 2-run double for the Blue Wahoos in the bottom of the first inning. With Pensacola leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Jesus Cruz and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Wahoos ahead, 4-0.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Humphrey.
