|
Antonio Gerardo led Pensacola to a win over Jacksonville. The final score was 6-3. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native collected 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Pensacola pitcher Phil Diaz earned the win, hiking his record to 7-1. Pedro Ramos suffered the loss. The triumph puts Pensacola at 54-12 for the season.
Gerardo had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Pedro Ramos, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Blue Wahoos a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Gerardo.
