Smokies Handle Pensacola, Snag 6-5 Win
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos and Tennessee Smokies provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Tennessee Smokies topped the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 6-5, in Southern League action at Smokies Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Tennessee pitcher Jacopo Figura. Figura picked up the win for Tennessee, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 7-4. Jeremy Porras earned the save for Tennessee, his 3rd of the year.

Andy Rustay was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk for Tennessee. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Luis Sanchez. It was his 34th RBI of the season.

"Jacopo is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Tennessee manager Steve Schwab.

The win puts Tennessee at 46-21 this season.
